Personal Update:

Some of you know, some have been wondering where I am in my absence... I made a sudden cross country trip back east to help out family and spend some time with my father. We've been expecting this news for a long time, but somehow... when you get it, it doesn't get any easier. My father has been ill with heart issues for many years and was a recovered cancer victim. But recently he was diagnosed with Stage four cancer and was told he had months. My daughters and grand-daughter have not seen him in quite some time and with money being tight and air-fares not cooperating for last minutes deals, we made the decision to drive the 36 hours cross country and visit and help out where we can.

He is home now and feeling much better... the outcome is the same, but he at least gets to spend his time with my mother and not in some horrible hospital. He is more comfortable and is surrounded by the people who love him. You would never know by looking at him the pain he endures every day. He still has his George Carlin type of humor, gives big hugs and shares all his wisdom like he's always done.

Help me by saying a little prayer for him and keep positive thoughts.

I am still trying to work from here and continue to run the house back home and with the love and help of my DH we are doing fine. I am thankful that we could take the time to this month and spend it with family here.
