LO for my daughter on finding STRENGTH with New art

Tuesday, May 01, 2012
Hi everyone!
I know I've been ultra quiet these past few weeks.  Sorry!  We've had some rough times here in our family along with my first of two upper jaw surgeries, but I'm happy to report that all is well now and like everything else difficult in life, this too has passed.  We grieved, we supported each other, we got STRONGER!

The timing of all this was uncanny... as I had already been working on our newest FYA collab Strength.  This kit hit home with me and my daughter Kallie as I was creating.  I will not go into details, as I am not one to put personal emotions out there, but I will say... I found the strength somehow to be strong for her and I was in awe of her own inner strength she found in herself.

I do what to thank all of those who sent all the beautiful and positive thoughts and sentiments! It was very heart warming and the love was definitely felt from all.

I created a layout to remind her and I of how strong we really are and how strong she can be... but also how much strength we can find and give to each other in times of sorrow or weakness. This is my Kal... I love her bunches and am so proud of the woman she has become today!

Credits: FYA Strength kits by Angie Young and Cilenia Curtis both found here.  Aria has a wonderful kit too that coordinates with ours.
You can read the beautiful muse Aria wrote on our Follow Your Art Blog posted today and see some awesome inspirational layouts from our team.  There's even more in our Follow Your Art Challenge Gallery too.

The Bundles on sale - Or you can find the pieces separately also if you prefer.

And this week Digitals is celebrating iNSD and my entire shop is on sale now through May 8th!

I also released 2 kits, Brushes and Overlays, last week and they are all on sale too.  These are Personal and Commercial Use kits.  I rarely create Commercial Use, but these were just screaming to be shared.  I'd love to see what you create with them, so don't be shy, link me up!

Big hugs!

Messages to my Children

Just sharing a project that I have been working on for quite some time and only recently have I started to put it into a book. These are from my Journals... Messages to my Children... what they really are... are my personal life lessons that I want to share with them and pass on.

They already know I say many of these things already... but my hope is that they will reach for this book long after I am gone and hear the echo of my words when they need a little inspiration or are looking for answers within.

I hope that it might inspire you too to sit down and write your children a book of your 'lessons' or thoughts that you want to pass on. I still have my mother here with me on this earth... and I talk to her daily almost. But when she says one of those profound thought provoking phrases or tells me of a personal lesson that might apply to my situation... yep... it goes in the book!

One of the BEST things or lessons my mother taught me was "Everything you need to know, you learned in Kindergarten." How true.... how true. Read it... I'm sure you will agree.

New Storybook idea

Monday, March 09, 2009

Well... been a busy week. Have several books going and started a new contract too. BUT, one of my goals is to publish at least one Storybook a month. I have an ongoing one called "Messages to my Children" and I have decided to put a page with a Then and Now picture of each of them for the personal message. Totally inspired by Jessica today.

So here is one of five done. This is my daughter Kallie. I will be sharing some of my other pages too so be on the look out. :)

Hope this inspires you too to write your children. I know that mine here can't wait to see the pages as I finish them and find comfort, inspiration to be better and just a lot of love from me as I do these. I think I have AWESOME kids... but they are all grown up now, just one teen left. But as with me... you can never have enough of Motherly Love and Support. Hopefully they will each look at this when I'm gone one day and remember the life lessons I have had and have tried to pass on to them.
