New Year

Wednesday, February 18, 2009
So... 2008 was the year of new beginnings... and yes, there were many endings to bring these about. In short, new home, new love, new jeep, new business, new career and a new grandchild.

I could go into all the details of these, but why look back? I'm making a new start with 2009 and determined for it to be my best year yet! I did this previously with the year 2003 when I left the comfort of home and family and came to Nevada to find work, love and make a fresh start. It was very hard at first, but with determination, I did it! Found the most awesome job and boss (Mary), found new friends who have been tried and true and are 'Lifers' as one of them says. Still working on the love part... but am getting my feet wet for the first time in 6 years.... guess I needed to find me first and love whom I have become before I could expect anyone else to be a part of my life. Grown very picky in my age... but hey, I have a right to.

I guess my whole outlook on life had changed the moment I set my mind to this fresh start. Once that mountain was overcome, the rest was easy. Attitude! The key to my happiness and life. My little one used to say, "Mommy, don't worry... Something Wonderful is about to happen". How true, how true. This again is my new attitude and dang it! I'm going to do it!

I have the support of my loved ones and yes, I still miss my family something horrible back east, but now I am working a new business with my mother and daughter and this has brought us even closer, if that is possible. We may be 3,000 miles apart, but we are closer than ever before.

All for now... need to get something good and possitive done today. New resolutions. Making my personal and business goal lists. More on that later. :)
