How to recolor multiple colors on a single element

Thursday, April 05, 2012
ok, I have given in to the world of video sharing! lol  I was just going to make a post with the how to do this, but thought, "Why not just record it as I do it?"  So I did. :)  I hope I did this right as I have never used YouTube before, so cross your fingers!

And as I said, don't ever be afraid to ask me something if you don't know it.

Oh, and the kit that I am making that this was from?  It's called Lovely in Lilac and was inspired by Digitals Monthly challenges which I'm a part of and run the Art Journaling Challenge.  I like it so much, that I decided to make a whole kit instead of just a mini kit for the bonus.

This was just an impromptu whim of mine.  Promise, I will learn how to make these better quality as I learn the ins and outs of YourTube. :)

Have an awesome day!  I'm off to finish up this digi kit so I can go and play in my art studio!

I have always done this the hard way, never knew about how replace color worked. I do this a lot so this tip is going to make life soooo much easier. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

This tutorial came to me at exactly the right moment! I have some beautiful smears that I want to use but they're in colours that won't work with my layout. Now I can make them work quickly and easily because Cilenia has shown me how! Thanks SO much!!

Wow...1st video...don't believe it...you sounded great and the video was easy to understand. But...isn't there always a but...LOL!!! How can I accomplish the same thing in PSE 10? I have tried to figure out on my own how to do this but haven't been very successful.

    Thanks for sharing!!

    Hi Barb!
Yes PSE can do this also. The only difference is you go to "Enhance" in the top menu and then to "Adjust Color" and then to "Replace Color". Then work everything else the same way. :)

Great tutorial Cilenia! Also if you use a duplicate images and a layer mask you could hide the color replacement over areas you want to keep the same.
