This is such a beautiful color palette! I really like the way mdusell has used the word art and colored it in a tone-on-tone fashion - and the word art is perfect for the subject. We get the story through her journaling, but she's made a huge impact by making the pictures black and white except for the quilt itself, which is truly the star of this layout! I love how mom and daughter quilted this together - those are the sorts of activities that make our lives rich, by passing down skills and stories from generation to generation.
